They use technical know-how, excellent problem-solving skills, user insights, and proactive communication to protect users and our partners from abuse across Google products like Search, Maps, Gmail, and Google Ads. On this team, you're a big-picture thinker and strategic team-player with a passion for doing what's right. You work globally and cross-functionally with Google engineers and product managers to identify and fight abuse and fraud cases at Google speed - with urgency. And you take pride in knowing that every day you are working hard to promote trust in Google and ensuring the highest levels of user safety. In this role, you will conduct investigations on broad trust risk topics related to abusive behavior. You will identify and investigate emerging abuse trends across different products and conduct in-depth searches to understand the prevalence and severity of risks across our products. You'll be an expert in online abuse who can navigate and make sense of a variety of signals and systems, and shape insights into actionable outputs. We partner with teams across Google to deliver bold solutions in abuse areas such as malware, spam and account hijacking. A diverse team of Analysts, Policy Specialists, Engineers, and Program Managers, we work to reduce risk and fight abuse across all of Google's products, protecting our users, advertisers, and publishers across the globe in over 40 languages. Responsibilities Partner with cross-functional teams to identify and deploy data sources, systems, and tools that can support the investigations workflow. Provide regular in depth searches and case studies to inform emerging risk in a weekly, high-level forum to discuss trust risks. Collaborate with teams inside and outside of Intelligence to define and establish a successful Intelligence cycle with an integrated investigatory function. Review or be exposed to sensitive or violative content.
Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K
Minimum Qualification
Business Intelligence & Analytics, IT SecurityEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
