Vineyard Supervisor

Position Summary:
Supervise all production operations and related activities for an estate vineyard including supervision of production foreman and staff.
Essential Duties:

Direct, train, and supervise production staff
Coordinate and schedule all cultural practices; purchase tools; perform minor repairs
Ensure understanding and compliance with all federal, state and company policies regarding safe work practices and utilization of equipment, ensuring the understanding and proper use of all personal protective equipment.
Assist in the preparation of budgets and monitoring costs related to production operations and tools
Maintain and organize all appropriate documentations and payroll information into computer databases.
Non-Essential Duties:
Supervise field crews.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements:
Able to walk through vineyards over uneven terrain.
Able to lift up to 50 pounds, stoop and bend occasionally
Requirements? B.S. degree preferred.
Ability to read, write, speak and understand English; bilingual capabilities (English/Spanish) Required
Ability to supervise, motivate employees and provide direction.
Computer literacy encompassing Word and Excel.
Possession of a valid driver's license.
Possession or ability to obtain a valid pesticide applicator's license preferred.
History of responsible use of alcohol and other appropriate conduct, as well as fitness to be licensed, permitted, and/or certified by state and/or local regulatory bodies.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
